Finding the data you need from BLS to survive and thrive
This will be a practical, hands-on course. Come prepared to navigate the BLS website along with me! I will, in the course of this presentation:
highlight existing and new BLS data products most commonly used by HR professionals: OEWS, MWE, ECEC, ECI, JOLTS
demonstrate how to find these data sources on the website
demonstrate how to best utilize data lookup tools on the BLS website

Dr. Julie Percival
Dr. Julie Percival is the Regional Economist for the Dallas Regional Office of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which includes the states of Missouri and Kansas. She received her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Political Economy in 2015 from the University of Texas at Dallas, and began working for the Economic Analysis and Information division of BLS in 2016. Through interactions with the press, researchers, business and labor organizations, and the general public, she promotes a better understanding of BLS data and its potential impact on day-to-day life.
