CallieLowry

Callie Lowry

I was born and raised in Emporia, Kansas where I still reside and work as the Human Resources Manager for Vektek LLC. Although I have only had my SHRM-CP certification for a year, I have worked in the Human Resources world for almost six years! I currently serve as a committee member and facilitator with the local Emporia Leadership Academy, the Past-President of the Human Resources Professional Association of Greater Emporia chapter (HRPAGE), was the co-chair for the HRPAGE Emporia Area Business Conference and am the Eastern District Director for KS SHRM. In 2022 I was honored to be nominated and win the Rising Star award at the KS SHRM Conference. The most rewarding parts of working in Human Resources are the connections and relationships that I get to make with people, along with being able to help them with various situations. Outside of work, some of my hobbies include reading, re-furbishing old furniture, and I recently took up the hobby of bike riding and have been a part of 3 different gravel rides spanning from 14 to 25 miles each. My family and friends mean everything to me, so I love to spend time with them and my miniature Australian Shepherd fur babies, Gentry Lou and Willa Jean!
